chess.com app: Apple OS vs Andriod

I now have the chess.com app on both platforms and just thought to let you know that it works lightening fast on Andriod (using the HTC Desire).  The app loads immediately and the games refresh a second later which is many degrees quicker than my ipod touch (which I assume would be the same as an iPhone).  I also get a pawn icon appearing at the top of my phone to let me know it's my move.

As I'm getting an ipad today, I thought I would dip into Andriod and get the best of both worlds (why not?) but was blown away with the performance of chess.com on my phone.  I thought I'd post this for anyone who is deciding whether to get an iPhone or an Android phone and could be swayed by something little like this (I know I would've spent less time thinking about the iphone had I known)...  I don't know a lot of technical details but apps load a lot faster and also seem to be able to access the internet much faster!

You will love the iPad! I use this site directly, not with an app and it works great. Speed is quite good. I am having some wifi issues, as reported widely but got the 3G model so am using a data plan when needed until Apple comes out with a fix ( promised) or the new OS in the fall.

The iPad is incredible for chess. The chess.com app although not as fast as Android is noticeably faster than the iPod touch but is also a much more complete product. Ichesspack HD (iPad) allows me to play on FICS, email pgn's and is very pleasing to the eye. Chess by Mobialia seems the best bet for Android if you want to play on FICS, also allows you to play on ICC but lacks some kind of pgn export for that all important reviewing of games. iPad hands down for the best chess experience and chess.com easily the best app for correspondance chess -both systems!
