Can anyone explain to me why the computer ratings are so inflated? I lose hard vs 900 players like my recent human opponent because i make moves too fast atm, I will switch to standard though. Anyway I will link a recent game vs a 1100-1200 Easy bot, who hangs many pieces and plays very badly well below even my bad rating, like 300 rated new 5 year old.

If some of you cant see a difference in shit play vs very shit play and need proof, I will play Computer 1 EASY until 1200 easily. It is too abusable and needs to be changed.

The computer opponents here are certainly nothing special. Programs in general aren't very good at "dumbing" themselves down.  They can't really play mediocre chess so what they do is periodically blunder.  The V3 computer looks to be a bit more robust (although I haven't played it) and has 10 different levels to choose from. Humans are still more fun to play though.

That's a good way of putting it.

Yeah, its a shame, it seemed like good practice until I found that out.

Well the engines are getting more versatile.  The better ones now can to some extent dumb themselves down to your level.  HIARCS is a program I use and it seems to have been programmed to make more subtle positional errors instead of just giving away pieces.  Maybe the new computer engine over on V3 will be more like that.  Someone from staff said that it's considerably stronger so let's hope for the best.

Playing humans is good practice too.Laughing

^ When I lose easily in blitz, all I am met with is "hahahaha", "bad", seems like most people just want their internet points. Instead of letting it be a learning experience for both parties.

I do like playing vs humans, but I am horrible at human blitz for some reason.

Perhaps just disable chat if you don't want to hear the nasty comments.  Play your game and who cares what others think of it.  Just learn to be better at your own pace.
