The Chess.com app for Android is in development. Join the group Chess.com Android Phone App Group to get the latest updates. They seem to be having problems right now with OS 1.5, though.

As for using the browser, it's not just a simple .wml page, thats why it requires an app.
I haven't tried yet, but have your tried the Dolphine Browser with chess.com. This browser seems to be a little better and at least for the Droid it has multitouch functioning

Dolphin is WORSE on chess.com than the standard browser, and it's really slow. Multi-touch is about the only plus side to Dolphin. It has so many other issues that I uninstalled it after a week.
I bought a HTC Droid ERIS recently and was looking for chess.com app to play my online games on it. My phone's browser isn't rendering the mobile page. The code behind the page shows up instead!
I don't think Android's browser ain't capable of rendering a simple .wml page! Can any one tell me what's wrong here?
Alternatively, can any one tell me if there is a version for Android?
Better still, can some one give me an app itself that will run on Android OS 1.5 (the one on HTC Droid ERIS)?
