The last thing to preemptively say is just what kind of fanaticism is it to where the imposter (again check account's DATE CREATED tab) tries to mimic everything...

How psychotic is it that they researched EVERYTHING on my profile and copy/pasted it?!  They did the same to Zug2.

And THERE is the reason that Chess.com needs to permanently SITEBAN these people...

You can't. IP bans don't really work and once an account is closed, another one can be opened easily. About the only thing to do is report and hope the account gets closed. Don't reply to the person, block them (until closed) and try to ignore as much as possible. If you are lucky, the person behind it will just get bored.

Martin, Its ok, its me , I'm just messing around take no notice.

Sure thing.

That's the reason for the block, so they can't post in forums you start. Quickly will cut down on such behavior.

Kayknight had an impersonator and now youSurprised  This could be a problemUndecided

It is serious though, when they go to other players' pages and post abusive things.  The victim doesn't see the: Member Since: Jul 24, 2014 on my part, or the misspelling of my name.  Just the avatar and similar name.

It's frustrating that Chess.com didn't reply in any form.  It's also frustrating that they fell for such a rudimentary ruse.  Hell, if Chess.com fell for it, then the regular player who gets abusive posts doesn't have much of a chance.  Again, it could be ANYONE that has a nutjob fanatic tailing them.

It's sad enough I blunder in every game.  Sadder yet is when some fool haunts people trying to claim they're using an engine.  Idiocy at its best, perhaps.

Sooner or later, chess.com is gonna have to hire the services of Catseye Pest Control!

Again, block and report. Between the cheat claim and the impersonation, it should be a slam dunk closure.

I did/have been reporting them.  That's the list of closed accounts at the top.  The guy escalates it by now posting on anyone I play's page.  He's really a form of a terrorist.  All you have to do is beat them, and they claim you use an engine.  I'm more worried about the rest of the people.  If Chess.com does NOTHING, as they did by not responding to any of my emails, then this behavior will be a virus.

Short term fix of this really would be having a new field beside someone posting:

The site is apparently doing something if all the accounts you listed have been closed. You may not get reply each time but something is being done.

It's impossible to prevent (with non-paid memberships).

Somebody here needs to get a life. Either the OP is both accounts or there really is an imposter I don't care which is the case but either way it's really pathetic.

That's why I keep posting the ' Member Since: Jul 24, 2014' portion under 'About Me' tab when you look at a member.  And yes, either way, this sucks.  If it weren't me, it could be anyone else...like Zug2 and who knows how many others.

This imposter's constantly making new accounts because they won't grow up.  All the accounts are just days old.

Avatar of GargantuanGoober

Cool, Chess.com just wrote me.  They're going to "fix" the situation until the nutjob can figure out a new way to harass rather than improve life.
