I haven't played all that much but I currently have a 1077 rating with my ave oponent rating at 1097. Why then with a greater than 50% win rate is my rating lower than the 1097?

I figured it wasn't that simple do you know the formula that is used?

I can tell you, yes. Chess.com uses the Glicko rating system. Serious math knowledge is required to comprehend it, though.
