1st Chess.com World Chess Championship

Hello! I came up with a crazy idea. To make a 1st Chess.com World Chess Championship! Maybe I'm a little bit bored at the moment, but still, what do you think? 

The championship would have 12 Online games (or 8), all games with a time control of 3 days/move. Only 1 game at once can be played.
In case of tied score there are 4 (or 2) games with 2 days/move. If still tied, then only 1 game with a time control 1 day/move. If draw, black wins.

I declare myself as the first candidate (we must start from somewhere).  If there's the second candidate, let me know (it would be great if he is from 1700 to 2150).

There should be a candidates tournament first and first two players should play each other in such a way you described.

We already have the team league.

I don't like tournament format, I want to play matches. Change the format for me please.

WannaPlayLot, I thought about that too, but it would probably took ages before the Championship's start. 

However, I had actually a duel on my mind, not THIS. :)

If only I were 1700. 

I suggest you make it 8, because it's gonna be long championship then. 

I literally thought of that idea right before I went to sleep yesterday! Too bad I didn't post it a few hours sooner :(

So even though there is already a chess.com championship tournament, someone can start a thread proclaiming themselves a candidate, find a random to play him and then declare themselves Chess.com World Champion if they win? Am I reading this correctly?

yeah you should have several tournaments one per country then have like 10 more tournaments and reduce the field to one champion. That would take like, 20 years though.

Without some sort of backing from chess.com, it's just another tournament or match between two people. I could win a game and declare myself President of the United States, it doesn't make it so. Get chess.com's backing that the title would mean something and great, otherwise it's just a normal game.

You don't need to compete, right? Win a game and declare yourself as a president, who's stopping you?

I will wait for some more days for an opponent who justify "my limits". Otherwise I will choose one of you. :)

Oh I see, so you declare yourself a world championship candidate, then you pick the limitations for who can actually challenge you for it and pick your opponent accordingly?

So actually you have already declared yourself Chess.com World Champion? You're picking your own opponent, your making up the rules and you're going to call yourself Chess.com World Champion at the end.

You don't see anything wrong with that?
