You might explain a little more on how you are connecting. I rarely have any lag issues that are not attributable to other processes on my system or network.
On the sound issue, that is supposed to happen, unless your sound has been disabled (that's the way I have it set). I have seen some sound issues on the forum in the past but I don't recall right off the specifics.
Simply get the app and play from your phone.

this site is pathetic i hate how it's always lagging.regardless of how fast or which computer am using, somehow i always lose on time.no sound when the other player has made a move. what's up with that? why can't you put sounds to indicate the other player has made a move?
