I suppose it depends on your definition of best. This is the only one I've tried so far, but the site hasnt' given me any reason to want to try other ones if that helps.

No website even comes close to Chess.com. The staff constantly works hard to improve the site and think up new features for us to enjoy. Not to mention all the tons of other features already in place.
I have been to a few other chess forums and none are as active as the one here. I once posted a game at three different sites asking for constructive criticism. I got very good responses here both in terms of where I went wrong and key ideas at different points of the game. I got almost nothing out of the other two sites. Since that time even more strong players have joined chess.com and contribute to chess discussion.
That's just one reason this is a great site.

When I got back into chess last July I joined about half a dozen sites but I have found that chess.com is so much better than the others that it is the only site that I regularly play on.

Chess.com is definitely the best site around. When first coming to online chess, a possible alternative was RedHotPawn, but it doesn't have half the features that here has and the chess board view isn't very good imo. There are some good sites offering chess problems or live play, but not both. Chess.com is the complete package.

i think its the second best. the best was www.TheBestChessWebsite.com, but it no longer exists. such a shame!

I never had the chance the to go the site you mentioned, but IMHO, chess.com IS the best. I have not had any reason since I joined this site to even look anywhere else. Chess.com rocks!
i checked out yahoo chess just to see what it was like and it was awful. i couldnt even start a game. chess.com is great
Once Chess.com has tournaments in live chess it'll be #1 hands down.
i think this is the best site, cause im keep on searching for a good chess sites but still this site is the best ....
