The redesign has not had a universal response of dislike, there have been changes based on feedback (whether or not one feels the changes are meaningful is another thing), and staff do take feedback seriously.
On the latter point, there's going to be conflicting feedback and site design and product requirements that may not allow all feedback to be considered.
What I posted is accurate. The update was tested and modified based on feedback.
Just a reminder:
User feedback from the very beginning (when this update was first rolled out as a "test" for some users) has been overwhelmingly negative. Almost every single user hates this update, and they will continue to hate it because it is, quite frankly, objectively bad.
There is no record of any meaningful changes supposedly made based on user feedback—because no such changes exist.
Users opinions or feedback to chess.com carry no weight whatsoever, and this thread is rock solid proof of that fact.
It’s remarkable, in a way, how the chess.com team manages to ignore the universal disdain for these updates. The level of mental gymnastics required is almost impressive.
