Their gambling thing is horrid. If chess.com ever introduced that it would wreck my experiences here.

yes true , I had read some people lost money by problems of chesscube , and chesscube is not free anymore.

It is not a moral thing - I am not anti-gambling. Rather, it just ruins the feel/atmosphere of a "chess" site. It's like when you watch LOTR and an ad scrolls along the TV screen for widgets.
I don't play chess for any financial incentive at all. I hope that chess.com keeps any rewards for winning a tournament as non-monetary rewards per se: subscription extensions for instance.

Yes you can, you can cash out crowns for money if you're really good and play a lot. You can play the same tournament 20 times in a row and get $100 assuming u win every time...which u can if you are really good
I don't care about the gambling stuff, but I find the interface extremely bad.

the only thing good about chesscube is thier gui for the board everything else is really bad ads are spawned everywhere and thier rules for aborting games and leaving games are non-existant also if your a free member you hardly get any content which is another reason why chess.com is way better
I second blasterdragon's opion. I have come across some complaints made against chesscube in indian consumer court regarding membership fees taken and account being banned. If these allegations are really true then one should avoid playing there like plague!! Also, Its like playing farmville version of chess on that site.

It used to be exclusively for correspondence chess. But they've added a live chess app.
1. Their gambling thing is horrifying. You LOSE 10 cubits when you WIN!
2. The VIPs have everything. No ads, better resources, better EVERYTHING
3. The complaints of chesscube all go to automatic response systems
4. Ads are everywhere! Mostly about getting VIP!
5. You can't even earn money on it! The cashing out thing is gone!
6. There are no responses to hackers and vulgarity
7. Admins never upgrade it unless it is profit related.
8. It requires money, and has heaps less resources than chess.com
I'd like to list hundreds more things I totally hate chesscube, but when I start it, it'll be ENDLESS. I used to like chesscube, but as it went under heavy corruption by the admins, I quit. I believe chess.com is trillions times better than chesscube - and that's a great understatement.
