mpukis speaks true, if you don't make it through the opening and middle you won't ever see an end...
That said, if you do ever get there I just took a good course: "Pawn play in the end game" by IM John Grefe. It was excellent. Well annotated and easy to understand (most of the time) even though it's a VERY difficult subject. But if you plan to get better at your end game you better learn pawn play!
I have heard that you should learn from chess from the end game backwards since the point of the openning and mid game is to set up a winning end game position. I have done a few chess mentor exercises and enjoyed them.
