Hi everyone, I was considering purchasing an Chessnut Air+  but on the internet I found many reviewers who say that the pieces are too light, what is your experience?

I've just got hold of the Air+ Weights as follows... Pawn 4g Rook 6g Knight 8g Bishop 7g Queen 10g King 15g The pieces are a bit light, but the whole thing works well. I find the ChessNut app (android) a bit annoying... it needs work, but that's another story. Hope that helps.

Chessnut air pieces are light, which is great when you’re on the road or on vacation. The board is of travel size too. But I also use Chessnut air at home for playing, analyzing and studying. Because of its relatively small size and pieces it works perfectly when studying from a book next to it. Having said that I am also considering buying a Chessnut pro for longer games and because my experience with the air are extremely positive.

The reviewers are right of course, also the dark squares seem too light.

I don't mind the plastic on the Chessnut air much but the plastic pieces are a no go and that means some tedious work is required since the Chessnut Air + pieces are a rip off and quite ugly too.

Even the Saitek Virtuoso of the past did have at least wooden pieces matching the board colours and was also cheap...
