If I remember correctly, we are not supposed to post about other chess sites on here.
Chesspark vs chess.com

I've never been on chesspark, but I -just- decided to google it tonight
I see that it had a desktop client...can anyone explain how that worked? o.O

Even I am from chesspark.com and i used to enjoy the game there as it was
client side user-interface but here
its full confusing and we cant even instantly chat with other members.
I think diminishing of chesspark dot come have nothing to do with chess.com .
Topic creator, I would suggest you to play *** It is same as chesspark
dot com but with much more
fun and it as client side user-interface same like chess park dot com.
You will just love it, If you don't I change my name.

The notion that CP was a competitive site strikes me as ludicrous.

ICC was the target, not cp.

Oh, yes. The three asteriks that represent a server, rather than web-based, playing environment. Again, it is hard to see these as competitors. Although in truth the time I spend playing live chess at chess.com has subtracted from time spent at an effecient server that monitors lag and gives me filters to avoid persistant laggers (among other differences that amount to comparing Mandarin oranges and kiwi fruit--similar size, nutritious fruit, but otherwise almost wholly distinct).
Unfortunately though, someone left their cake out in the rain...
