how did he get muted??? #FreeChomper
Chomping on hanging pieces is great advice!
Re: post #18 (I don't know how to quote in the app) thanks for the kind words. I play one or two 10+0 games per day and always have a few correspondence/daily games going. I prefer chess.com for daily and for real time. Most weeks I play over the board one day, usually 3-4 untimed games at roughly 15 minutes per side. Around 30+0 is my strongest and favorite time control but hard to find outside tournaments so I am mixing daily and 10+0 instead.
Much to my dismay i recently found out that the wonderful forum talking about chomping on hanging pieces was removed! I was very surprised by such actions especially when it is such great advice. In the initial forum HangingPiecesChomper said you could get to 2400 blitz by simply chomping on hanging pieces, which is true! However I think we can take this a step farther and look at our rapid games! There is so many hanging pieces you simply need to chomp on them.
Now of course I am being a facetious here but I wanted to give this game (and all my other games) as examples of why tactical/board vision is really important. It is perhaps the most important part of improving in these fast time controls (yes 15+10 is fast). Hanging pieces/simple tactics absolutely happen and it is the most major part to improve on for sub master level— but of course it is necessary to work on other parts of the game such as middle game strategy and endgames.
"Chomping" is a covert dogwhistle for cheating. I'm not surprised.
gonna have to block you because accusing people of cheating is not permitted here
