Christmas Humbug

Christmas is coming, and I know it's the time for buying yourself presents (when there's no one else to).

I wanted to hear people's views on which cc membership (gold/platinum/diamond) is the best value for money, and which one is a total rip off.

FM_Checkmate

I don't suggest getting membership. Being a regular member is just fine!

What's the point of spending 80 pounds?

80 pounds is too much.  But I would like unlimited TT and tournaments, and the opening database and other coaching tools.

Diamond is best the tactics, videos, and lessons are awesome. If you don't have it buy it grin.png

The brand new Acorn membership is very cheap.

Diakonia

Diamond is well worth it.

Gold membership suits me just fine. I don't have time to do Chess Mentor lessons. But can use Explorer during online games to learn about Openings, create groups and tournaments. Gold membership is best value IMO.

alll of them are ripp offs. he he.

I think I will get gold in the new year

If anyone else wonders how many tournaments they can create with Gold membership, here is what I was told in v3 group: "as a gold member you can create as many tournaments as you want, but there are some limitations to the tournament format, the main one being that gold members cannot make a tournament with more than 12 players".

Just put on a Java applet that sends some text and there you go, INFINITE TOURNAMENTS WILL INFINITE PLAYERS.
