Lately member @lunasantin has made several claims to be good at chess because he is related to chess player Claude Bloodgood, however no one on this site had heard of him, a quick google search later and now i know why: Claude Bloodgood was the highest elo Convict. He had convicted several crimes in his earlier life culminating in his murder of his own mother, as a result he was sentenced to life in prison. He continued to play chess in prison, allegedly helping get his fellow inmates rigged USCF ratings, at the age of 59, Bloodgood was the second highest rated player in the nation with a rating of 2759. He died in 2001 of lung cancer.
