Before you make your move look to see if your opponent can capture any of your undefended pieces. Also look for any possible threat and answer it. Most players at our level seem to like giving our pieces away. Play rapid chess, 30/0 and analyze your games without an engine. When your done analyzing use an engine to go over positions and tactics you may have missed. Good luck BRUKZS!

Then study endgame, then middlegames and then opening.

Tactics remain difficult to world champion level.

Try playing against a strong computer programme and you will (humiliatingly) see exactly how many tactical opportunities pass you by.
