Explain the "analog-mode" thing...and just how are they able to manipulate the clock??

I wonder if he's being confused by pre-moves?

The server keeps the official clocks so in order for someone to modify their clock, they would have to hack the server. If they had that access, they wouldn't be modifying their clocks.

Clock issues are a mixture of lag, lag forgiveness and/or short disconnects:

They switch to analog mode and give themselves more time by turning the big hand counterclockwise.

Might not be the case, because you can still flag if the clock moves backwards and pushes the flag out.
