Clock/Timer Being Manipulated

Lagging and hacking are not in the rules of chess.

Call it for what it is . . . . . CHEATING!!!

That is not the playing of chess!

Mr. Stahl, your website CHEATS on several occasions in different ways. The current way, is that my last move is taken back so that the opponent can win on time.

And no, it is not because of delays in the internet, or we could not counter moves in less than one half second.

This means, that your website is CHEATING in favor of a paying member.

You can not rebut this, and I am not the only chess player that has noticed such manipulations.

And no, I am not a novice to the game!

That is not true. If a move doesn't make it to the server before the official clock runs out, after allowed lag compensation, then the gage is losing the opponent has sufficient material to mate.

Premium status has zero bearing on that. I've had that happen as well.

It has happened to me multiple times. Sometimes i have 5 minutes i play my move but the clock is still ticking and suddenly i just lost 30 seconds. On the other hand, my opponent takes 20 seconds to play a move but still only loses 2 seconds.

That indicates you are getting disconnected and have high lag.

Yadav_Yogesh

it isn't fully true sometimes with super low lag it still happens

LEEkean

Mr. Stahl,

your excuse is not true, as we both are moving in real time, until the last move.

This is proof of manipulation, not lag.

Do your homework!!!

The site allows a certain amount of lag between the clients and the server. If you're experiencing higher lag, you'll see more time usage.

I work with server and network technologies and have for 20+ years. I have done my homework. The following article gives a very good explanation:

If you're seeing what you described, you absolutely lost connection to the live server or are experiencing very high lag between you and that server.

LEEkean

Sadly, your 20+ years in server and network technologies is proof that your experience is one-sided. In other words, your experience is not enough!

LEEkean

I would like to point out, that the lag-excuse would not hold up in a court of law.

Why? Because it happens at the very end of a match, and often.

That Mr. Stahl, is manipulation of games !!!

BigChessplayer665

Server lagg it happens

LEEkean

Server Lagg may happen, but not as often as I have witnessed during matches.

That my friend, is manipulation of matches!

BigChessplayer665

I have never had that happen maybe lagg/clock manipulation In 2/100 games besides more time won't help your opponent unless it is bullet just get gud if your angry

It could be that your in India or something chess.c is based on the USA

LEEkean

We are talking about one minute matches, and lagg happens quite often.

You should read the complaints about this, then you would realize how often this really happens.

This is not LAGG, but manipulation!

BigChessplayer665

Then that's your fault for playing bullet

That's why I don't play bullet hay often

LEEkean

There are chess rules for playing bullet also.

As I stated, LAGG is in reality MANIPULATION!!!

BigChessplayer665

Lagg is not the other person's fault

I have had both where it looked like I gained time from lagg but in reality I flagged and vice versa

BigChessplayer665

I mean imagine banning someone over slow internet

LEEkean

In a time when most people have a G 5 connection, I can not imagine that there are too many slow internet connections!

BigChessplayer665

It's the server too he server has to connect it isn't always internet speed sometimes it is laggy servers

Remember when chess.com had so many people joining it crashed ?

You prob weren't there for it because new account
