I hate this! Unsportsmanlike Conduct should have consequences!!

If you lost, then checkmate is not forced. You're the one being unsportsmanlike and whining like a spoiled brat. Take the L and move on.

Anyone making arguments like this IS THE PROBLEM. This post just proves my point, there are a lot of bad sportsmen on this website...

Complaining about a loss is bad sportsmanship. Not resigning, is not bad sportsmanship. If you don’t have the skills to convert, you shouldn’t deserve the win.

You don't get it do it? How thick is your skull?
The skills to convert? You're 1300! You're still a beginner and you criticise my skills to convert??
I already explained what happened, it was a premove while I went to get some food, that isn't skill wtf?

Then you demonstrated further bad sportsmanship by letting your clock run for 12 minutes plus...

How is that worse?!? He could have resigned like he should have, then the clock wouldn't have run out!? I was just waiting to give him the opportunity to be a good sportsman??

You received a fine lesson on the risks of making premoves.

The point of this post is to denounce bad sportsmanship, this isn't the only way someone can be a bad sportsman.

My point is there are way too many bad sportsmen on this website!

all i saw was you blundering and your opponent taking the opportunity you gave him to keep playing on when he was losing, its not his fault that you didnt win properly. no one is forced to resign a game, stalling is of course bad but if he keeps playing its your job to choose if you want to resign, offer a draw, or simply as i said before win so its up to you to win properly

"The skills to convert"

It's actually incredible how insecure some low rated players are to the point they take any opportunity to s**t on any higher rated players to compensate.

its kind of weird too seeing you talk about skill, what skill made you blunder? that must be amazing skill if you threw away a winning game but who knows that might just be me

Your blatantly trolling, I'm not going to catch, I already explained the previous argument of skill.

This argument is like trying to explain to a young child why they can’t go out late at night with friends to hangout like their older siblings.

making a bad premove is not skillful.

1. I’m 1500 rapid, trying to get my blitz rating up

2. I never criticized your skills to convert. As much as you’re complaining right now, you’re good at chess. I won’t deny that. What I’m saying is, not resigning isn’t rude BECAUSE someone might not have the skills to convert. You seem to think not resigning is rude. I have no doubt you could have converted (it was forced mate, after all), but your opponent what not rude whatsoever

3. You’re complaining that you lost because you premoved. It was your decision to premove. Your loss falls on you. Trying to blame it on your opponent for not resigning is the real immature thing.

i can sympathize as ik how it feels but i dont like it when people curse at others

The hard truth is that the lower the time control is the more difficult it is to get your rating up.

Better players tend to play much lower controls which removes them from the pool of rapid games for the most part, which is why I was referring to your blitz rating of 1300 since blitz and bullet include the titled player skill level in that pool which gives a more accurate representation of your skill level.

the real issue is lack of mental fortitude:

focus on self-improvement & forget about 'who won'.

There aren't many good or constructive comments on this post but I do agree this is one.

My Blitz rating is 1000. I also don’t put great effort into doing well in Blitz, I played on another account yesterday and lost to a 600 lol.
