what i would always say in times like this is simply this my friend, you can only believe if you see the future as beautiful as yourself. if you just let negativity or bad things come on your mind, it just piles up and you will only build your own cage. you have to believe in yourself and find some motivation to keep on playing so you know what this game means? just another bad one but dont let it hurt you, keep going for more as you can get better

dont let one game keep you angry, let it motivate you for more

Wow...a bunch of online speed chess players trying to out talk each other about "skill".

Do you have a bias against online speed chess? It is as valid as any other form of chess, and online speed chess players can be skilled at the game.

I mean yeah you lost because you underestimated your opponent's ability to trick you.

You'll learn from this very stupid premove, I'm sure.

It's not bad fairplay to play until mate, but you are bad fairplay for trying to make your opponent resign at all cost

And if they aren’t?

bros can't you see this dude is an attention-seeking troll? just abandon this forum.

good that i remembered that public forums exist, otherwise this might have gotten bad.

ChocolateMafia, I think if you wanted to close your account because of this you wouldn't have made the forum. It's just another unfortunate example of a slight miscalculation by a good player. Don't take it so hard, learn from it, and keep improving.

Just move on, don't stick with these types of players

Close your account then. Live up to your word. Prove your point. Make a statement. Or else this is all for nothing.

I don't want to that guy who criticizes others, but it's entirely your fault for premoving. You were aware of the risks but did it anyways. That's on you.

What's your point? He played well, I played badly.

Part of me getting my rapid to 1900 is I'm just moving quickly making moves that look good, I'm not fully focused because as I said it's only 1700, but it also causes me to lose sometimes, I do this because I find rapid very boring but I would get to 1900 within a few days of playing. If the rating was already at my skill level of 1900 I would be more focused, I wouldn't be browsing youtube / on my phone chatting while I play which is what I was doing in the 1700 levels.

Yes I will close my account, but only when I choose to and not when you or anyone else tells me to. It will be in a few days, I didn't say I'm closing it with immediate effect.

I think he said that because someone told him his rapid rating was really low and he knew it was just deflated and could increase it.

So you're a fake. That settles it then.

Makes sense. But you can certainly understand my point. I suggest you focus from now on to get to 1900, entirely. It'll save you plenty of games and time to do so. Good Luck!

To all new chess players: A move made on the board can never be bad sportsmanship. Sportsmanship is what you do off of the board, like trash talk your opponent or send rude messages in the chat. If it's a legal move, it's legal for a reason and your opponent has every right to make it, regardless of the situation.
