I think it's a little underpriced, maybe raise it to $5,000,000-$10,000,000.

Yep. NOT XD .1 million? Wayyy too much. How about 1 billion?

Avatar of Thunder_Penguin

Yeah, I was thinking about 0.5 billion, but I decided to be nice.

Avatar of spawkle529

I reccommend doubling all prices

Avatar of Thunder_Penguin

Take your coaching lessons from an FM or greater.

Not true. Having a higher title doesn't guarentee you will be a better coach. NM Dan Heisman is recognized as one of the top chess coaches in the USA and he has written many instructional books. I'm making a name for myself. I have 30 recurring students I teach online.  Why do they keep coming back? Answer is, they learn.

That's not what I am doing.

If wanting to encourage/motivate those (especially the young) whom aspire to a career in chess it is important to remember that what you are aiming for is ELO 2400.

I acknowledged chess-expert status of NM's but that is simply not good enough for career/income in chess and listening to them may even hamper progression of own brilliance.

NM in US is ELO 2000. What can they teach? (other than basic ideas) if unable to progress beyond that themselves.

I make a very decent income teaching chess full time. I gave up my career as a schoolteacher to teach chess. Why? More fun and more money.

you're right. We have weekly practise with an IM in our club (it's free) and I have to say, he is a very good player but not the best as a coach.

The OP is setting himself up for lawsuit. A master should never refuse to teach a student. If I approached him, and he refused to teach me, I can sue him. Failing to render your services is a violation of peoples rights. He cannot just post, even if it is a joke, that he will not coach.
