I just saw that xQc has coined multiple techniques and moves, such as the lobster pincer, the hat and most prominently the four-way fork "wooden shield"
So I thought it'd be cool to showcase my own moves and coin names for them, and for anyone who finds this to do so too. Let us know if they already have names...
Term 1: jagged opening
A jagged opening is an opening which involves pawns initially only on alternating numbers, an empty space often snuck in between, like this move:
1. f3 e6 2. g3?? - fool's jagged
In the manner of the fool's mate, a bit slower.
A Linaresian move is a move in the manner of Shirov's brilliant move (marked here as a blunder because Shirov lost the bishop), sacrificing an important piece to infiltrate the king's defences. This is usually near the enemy pawns.
47... Bh3!! (??) - original Linaresian move, played by Alexei Shirov on 4 March 1998
26. Nc6+!! - a Linaresian knight move, played by me on 27 December 2020.
The second "brilliant move" I have ever gotten; I sacrificed my knight to the pawn, at the same time checking the king so that the knight had to be captured or the king had to be moved. The computer chose to capture the knight with its bishop.
The aforementioned move was marked brilliant because it also allows me to queen my pawn, resulting in a clearly winning game which was cemented by this move; black previously having the advantage following a mistake made by me.
Term 3: eastern star move
An eastern star move is the one-move evacuation of a piece from getting trapped or becoming useless, into being one of the most important pieces of the main and most crucial squares of the game.
28... Qd2!! - an eastern star queen move, played by me on 24 December 2020.
My first "brilliant move". Any other move will or might threaten to capture my queen, so I did a quick evacuation. d2 was the only affordable position to evacuate the queen; therefore a "critical move", the only good move, and marked as brilliant also for being the narrow onset of the storming of the white king's now-irregular dock by the two most powerful pieces in the game.
White later blundered into checkmate by caving into the corner.
