[Comments]The Good, Bad and the In-Between

Hi all,

I’m sure everyone reading this particular topic has at some point been subjected to trash talk and/or delivered some as well. This particular post is designed to look at the lighter side of posted comments. The real nasty stuff including its owners can remain like most trash does, in a dark smelly container. Ok chess, like all other sports and life itself evokes emotions good and bad. Let’s look at the ones that are in-between today and lighten this up some. All these in-between comments are taken from this site and the authors will remain anonymous. You might even recognise one of your own, but really I wouldnt be jumping for joy there. Some therapy could  be required for you, so here is your sample ten, enjoy.

[Now this is rich. Remember, we play on a chess site where most things are not what they seem. People use pseudonyms. I’ll let you on a little secret, those players who have avatars with uncanny resemblance to Grandmasters, animals, and a collection of other odd sorts are probably something else. Anyway, maybe the so called player was actually female and the parents didn’t want to teach her to be a man. Most parents prefer keeping their kids genders intact. Could the writer be physic. On the effeminate comment, well, obviously the opponents pieces may have been wearing some attire and one of the pawns did a swish of skirt whilst progressing up the board or the King did a courtesy before castling. Really?

Why resign? I had a phone call.

[Yep, his opponent was 2000 km’s away, he could sense he was on the phone].

 Creeper...hangs around, doesnt do anything. Poor sport, boring to play.

[Yep, that’s what happens on chess sites, people hang around, don’t do much and everyone moves the pieces the same way according to the rules of chess].

i slippered at clear winning position but u refuse teh draw in a unrated game greedy want win but lose to 2 pawn vs 2 rook end game both on teh game and time #shame

[Really, the person who posted this without revealing any identity had tactician in his name. Now that’s funny, a tactician who loses on time, tactically his play matched his grammar]

How comes in 2.5 years your chess rating has barerly improved? :o

[You should see the rating of the player who wrote this, really, now that’s the kettle calling the pot black]

[Yep, sounds a lot like me even though this was directed at someone else. I’ve disabled chat according to my democratic choice on this site, I pre-emptive a lot of moves and move fast…it is blitz after all and whilst doing so make heaps of mistakes that drop a lot of pieces, Quick! Bring in the police.

Lucky, I was not focused to close the game as I was watching Barclays PGA tour.
