Common Queen Trapping Patterns?

This one comes up for me from time to time. I know there’s a poison pawn Queen trap that I’ve seen before, but I don’t really remember it.

What are some common ways the Queen ends up in big trouble? And I don’t mean necessarily at top level play, as those guys get their Queen trapped far less often.

This one resulted from the Scandinavian.

i dont look too deep into chess.com tactical motifs in the puzzles (not as easy to navigate deeply via app) but i am fairly sure there are specific “trapped queen” motifs and positions

perhaps you could set up to just get puzzles that only cover this theme?

i am not sure but i am fairly certain there are more savvy members who can point you in the right direction

just from my non caffeinated sunday morning memory i recall most situations (from either puzzles or games) when either my own or opponents queen gets trapped is on the b and g files and often when queen miscalculates the targeted pawn

This one is less common. I could not recall the exact starting moves, but it had this kind of idea.

@eric0022 I think you mean the fried liver attack.

You could try a queen-side ruy lopez

A nice example from former Australian Champion Gary Lane.

Nice, judging from these examples the common theme is the two bishops are controlling the diagonals side by side the knights control the final key squares and the enemy queen is often blockaded by its own pieces

One common Queen trap pattern involves the snatch of the b2-Pawn.

The move a3 allows the a1-Rook to guard the a3 square... preventing the defense ... Qa3.
