Common sense rules for world championship matches

1. 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an addition of 30 seconds per move starting from move one.

2. No draw offers before move 30

3. The following draws are only allowed through the Chief Arbiter ( a GM must be present )

• Threefold repetition of position
• Fifty-move rule
• A theoretical draw
• Perpetual check
  

4. If the game is drawn, the players play rapid chess. 15 minutes per player.

5. If the game is still drawn, the players play blitz chess 3 minutes + 2 seconds per player

6. Winner = 1 point, loser = 1/2 point

7. The first player who scores 10 points in the match is the World Champion.
