I just don't read them
Very good idea. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it :) I think that is very sensible :)
You conveniently ignored the graffiti bit, lol.

Si. Señor.
Oh you think I am a guy? lol!! That's OK............. I suppose :)
I could say that's a compliment. But that will get me into a fight. So, I didn't say it.
Just my 2 cents...
I am one of those that do get annoyed when people copy and paste their scores on TT. My opinion is that the comments are there for discussion about the puzzle. I have had many interesting discussions with people exploring different lines and reasons why TT decided this was "best move." I for one feel that this is what the comments section is to be used for.
As Scottrf said, it gets really annoying when you have your home page filled with TT posts, then check them out to see a copied and pasted score. I don't have to track the comments, granted, but then I will not see responses to actual discussion that is taking place on those threads.
For the record, I agree with you that posts such as "easy" and "got it" are annoying too. But I actually prefer them to a copied and pasted score as they are very small posts. The copy and paste is a form of spam. A point that I believe repac3161 is trying to make in the above post.
Another thought, just so you know, is that copy and pasting scores on occasion has actually broken the TT puzzle!! I am not sure, but I think it is caused by the size of the copy/paste. I have submitted a few of these into helpdesk who have removed the offending posts to restore the puzzle.
I personally don't see any benefit to the copy and paste of scores besides what you could personally gain from it. That being said, I'm not going to go ahead and post this on your home page, I'm only writing it as you asked for opinion.

One more time, for ol' time sake.

You called my comment "ugly graffiti." What am I to say to that? Whilst I think a rigorous discussion is healthy, I don't want to sound hostile to you because it is impolite and I don't want to hear or repeat what I deem overly aggressive. If I said to any of you that what you write is like "ugly graffit," I am sure all of you would take offense to that. I just thought that it would be best to say that you are sensible than react to your words "ugly graffiti"
The point is you're not writing anything. You're just copy/pasting your scores.
I would love you to write what you think about a problem, or about the solution.
That was my point. Nothing more, nothing less.
I do happen to think my reasoning in post # 96 was quite to the point. No insult intended.
I would look at nice graffiti like I would look at serious comments.
gotta go now, more urgent matters at hand,
good night.

OOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!! I see. Is that what it is? LOL! Is that why people are annoyed? You wanna know what I'm thinking? haha
I am mostly thinking "I can't believe I did that" or "That was ruddy difficult." lol. OK. I will try to write what I thought. I am afraid it's not going to be very clever for now, and perhaps.....for ever. lol!! But I will try :) Going out now. Talk to all of you later :)
@ repac3161 oh I see what you were getting at. (OK I unblocked you. lol! -- not that I think you care either way, block or unblock)
Come to think of it, though........... What constitutes an interesting comment? At my level, can what I write on chess possibly be especailly interesting? At best, I would be stating the obvious like "you cannot take with the other rook because of the backrank mate" or "aim for a perpetual check in this kind of situation". Is stating the obvious an improvement on my two-line-stats?
I see that people do that a lot -- add a short observation in addition to their stats. Is that interesting? I feel that someone like Scott will respond "Nope. That is more garbage on top of existing garbage!" lol
Hello disgruntled sheep :) Point taken and thank you for your response. So if I said something obvious and short like "push the pawn so that you don't get into a windmill situation," does that make for a good discussion? When I see those comments, I just think "oh yeah. I thought that, too". But I don't find them particularly enlightening. Are those short observations good enough? :)
Thank you. Just hope I don't regret it!
Nobodyreally, I hope I have a friend who would vouch for me like you did Kaynight :)
Not to embarrass you, but I can vouch for you You posted in one of my threads daily for months and had great insightful comments. And everyone who posted liked your input, and you were always helpful and caring to everyone!
Awwww thank you, winerkleiner :) I vouch for you, too :) You have always been a gentleman and a kind man to me and to all who came to your diary thread :)
No... Bad notches this notches. Señorita, to you, or Señora.
Senora is good because I am a mom :)
I just blocked repac. Why do I still see his comment?
