Computer Analysis
You can turn all the colors and symbols off in Analysis settings. To to the Analysis tab and click the settings cog at the top right. There you can customize what you want to see.

It might be a public service if Chess.com set the default analysis settings to something rather neutral and subdued, rather than a Fourth-of-July flashing-lights-and-coruscating-colors display.

Totally agree.

Great, the "disable-fancy-stuff-on-board" option now really works.
One (of several) issues that still need to be addressed would be: When the material balance display (below the player's name) changes from/to 0, the whole board shivers (because of a bug in the definition of css class "player-row-component"; the piece icons don't fit into the reserved fixed height)
But this is certainly not topmost prio, which for me would now be to do something about the jerking piece movement animations. (Not sure if "jerking" is the correct term here, I mean they are the opposite of "smooth", at least sometimes. There seems to be a correlation with the number of moves, at least they are pretty smooth when coming from TT, but not when analyzing full games. FireFox)
