Can anyone help me to know how to use computers in chess?

i heard about programs like fritz but i dont know how that will help me

 - Play a game against a human (or even the computer itself), recording the moves. Don't have the computer analyze yet, just play your best.

 - Go over the game without a computer and write down your reasons for making each move.

 - Go over the game again and have the computer analyze every move. I like to set the computer to show at least three or four moves of the lines it's analyzing. That way I can see how it thought play would progress, which gives clues to why it chose the moves it did.

 - Try figure out why the computer chose the moves it did. Many are obvious with a little thought. This is where reading books by the masters comes in handy. Learning the ideas behind certain moves and/or formations is a big help.

 - Repeat as necessary.
