I played a level 4(1000) computer just to see how good was the computer...it made so much bad moves like hanging their pieces for no reason.I'm about 1100 in rapid and this was a insult to me.A rating of 1000 shouldn't be THAT bad, don't you agree?

So many insulted people here.

One 1900 felt insulted because his opponent did not resigned. Now we have another one who feels insulted because the computer played bad moves.

I've made a couple blunders playing blitz or rapid and I have a winning record against players playing 1100 or better, so it's not unusual for a 1000 player to drop a piece.  In fact, great-teacher Dan Heisman says that's the main thing that decides most games.

I think the computers, though, make their blunders randomly so they often occur in positions where a human would almost never make them.

When I want to try out a new opening, I like to initially play engines set to 1200+ or 1300+ - I get hit with a greater variety of moves, but once I focus on a variation and want to get good, I set it to 1500+ where the blunders are much fewer.  I usually play on the freebie Lucas Chess or Chess King, but level 6 is approximately 1500 here.

I'd recommend not playing the computer if you want a human experience. There are no computers that are quite humanlike, although the modern engines now play as if they have strong positional understanding.
