How many people are in stone league?

Right now 883,560  but it continues to increase as players play their first games after advancing from last week. My estimate is the max it will end up is around 1.2 million, this week.

How can that be? Maybe I saw the number in wood incorrectly. I was thinking a max of just under 1 million.

Pretty sure it was well over a million last time I checked Thursday early in the day, but I could be wrong. I posted a count somewhere.

When we chatted about this a few days ago wood had 2.5 million.

Currently it says wood is 3.2 million "all time"
And it says wood is 0.9 million "this week"
So I assume we can estimate 2.3 million for last week.

Anyway, 2.5 million * 0.4 = 1 million... so I'd be surprised for stone to go over 1 million.

However, currently there are 0.99 million in stone, so it appears it will go over 1 million. Shrug*

Hmm, not fingmding the post right off. Found one from Friday where it was over 2.4 million but by later Thursday, it should have been over 2, easily.

With almost 1 million in Stone, there had to be over 2 million that were in Wood that could have qualified the first week (40% of the entries moved forward, even without ties).

Oooh, right. I forgot about ties. That changes a lot. Maybe first week into champion will be closer to 30 like you said a few days ago. I initially estimated about 20.

Yeah, I'm going to wait until after Thursday to make additional guesses, but it will likely take two weeks for the first Champion league division to fill up and likely only one will by the second week.

1) What does the rank mean?

I’m second place (in stone division) for what challenge?

What did I do to get to 2nd place, how do I try to make it to 1st place?

Ya, I can already tell Bronze league will be a significantly harder league to advance in. It gets hard very quickly.

Same

If you wait long enough, there will eventually enough space for you to enter the next league effort free

And this league things favour smurfing a lot, because it only counts win and draw

You can't smurf for 7 weeks, your rating will be too high.

Similarly you can't sandbag in later leagues because your visibility will be too high.

I assume higher leagues will naturally be filled with players rated high enough that they're almost always paired down in normal arenas i.e. high win percentage but not because of anything unethical.

@llama47 If I don't care about my rapid rating, I could have go all the way to 100, then win about 20 games to earn 300 points against people around 100 rating, while controlling my rating by losing strategically. There's no minimum rating requirement for entering the next league, only the amount of points you have earned. The no.1 in my league is only 800 but with 400 points. This league thing is easily exploitable, it's just about how much you care about your rating

Sure, if you did it strategically you wouldn't get you account closed.

And yeah, it's all about how much you play, not how good you are.

It's close enough to after Thursday grin.png

Looks like there will be around 1.2-1.3 million that will qualify for advancement on Sunday. Which means somewhere around 400,000 to maybe 500,000 will move forward to Bronze (maybe a little more). Still too early to tell how ties are ultimately going to impact numbers though. It might be possible to fill up one Champion division the first week depending on how that plays out.

It is top 15 of 50.  That means you have about 30 percent that will graduate to Bronze.   So, 30 percent of Bronze is going to be 360,000 to 390,000.

It is, but more than 15 can move forward with ties.

I'm still in wood I didn't play any last time

This is true, but we are now in the hundreds.  Most likely you aren't going to see many ties.  So it is marginally above 30 percent.  Maybe 30.5 percent.  So yeah, maybe it should be more like 365,000 to 395,000.

Carwasher_Superdrunk

I withdrew from leagues after winning my wood division. Arena has been ruined by leagues.

Will have to revisit next Thursday and Sunday for close to final counts happy.png
