Conspiracy theories about Bobby Fischer

Alien involvement is more likely than this.
Let me preface my response by saying, I have no idea why he went crazy, I really don't. Nothing would surprise me, including just that he snapped or was schizophrenic or whatever. But as for how impossible that the Soviet's drugged him when he played there... Might not be as far fetched as you presume. In fact doing something far-fetched is sometimes the perfect way to provide cover for it.

Nice reading.

Latest theory I've been considering: The Russians put LSD or some long-term mind-altering drug in Bobby Fischer's water.
Doesn't that seem pretty much like what must have happened?
No.
It sounds like the Russians put something in YOUR water.

You must be hearing things. I have not made any sounds.

Clearly they HAVE put something in your water, because you DID make a sound!

Clearly, the fact that you think that the sound was the Russians putting something in MY water, when clearly it was the Russians laughing. I suggest removing your water source

Look, man, the Russian word for clearly is явно because they told me when they were putting something in your water. Otherwise, how would I know that?

You underestimate the possibility of alien involvement.

You underestimate the possibility of alien involvement.
No. I just disagreed about who was the alien. In Russia, the American, Bobby was the alien, but he was also given psychedelics.

You conspiracy theorists are all alike with your way-out-there theories. Can we get back to the *real* conspiracy theory, which is the subject of this thread or do you want to keep going off on tangents? I suppose you think that Fischer was denied his secret lifelong dream (by the Russians of course), which was, to be an Elvis impersonator. Well I'm not buying it.
Where do you hypothetically get with those absurd notions anyway?

Did you just reveal that he wanted to be Elvis!? What?! I am getting a better picture every second!
His mum and especially his biological father had a history of mental illnesses. Also, ever since a young age Bobby would never 'normal' as such, he would play chess over 14 hours a day if he could and didn't have any friends. It didn't help when he became famous at a young age as this significantly conflicted with his usual life preferences. Even in the world championship match against Spassky, Fischer would claim there was radiation from the television cameras which was effecting his concentration. Medication would've helped him immensely but he never took them.
Conclusion: Fischer was always crazy, he just got more crazy as he got older, as crazy people often do. It had nothing to do with Russians drugging his water.

That is what the government wants you to think!
In reality, the Russians working with the American chess team, drugged his water! He somehow still one the title but yet the drugs caught up to him. His brain turned to mush, he went to Japan to find healer, but what he got was instead jail time. The Russians couldn't allow him to get better! Bobby knew he wasn't going to last much longer so he made his way to Iceland! Everyone thinks he died quietly and away from all society.
But the reality is that he is Cryo freezed! Hence why he went to ICEland! He had to get away from the Russians, and being froze was the best way to do it!
All of this is true! None of this is made up!

This just shows how little you really know Fischer. His uncanny ability to see several moves ahead enabled him to anticipate that the Russians were going to put LSD in his water, so he pre-emptively went crazy so they couldn't effect the change they expected to see in his behavior, then he out-manuevered them when they did. Now that is a true chess master. Crazy like a fox.

Yup, that seems pretty much like what must have happened.
The evidence is overwhelming.
No need for further speculation.
What other theories are you considering, Einstein ?
Mystery solved.
