Coordination
This is an interesting question that I thought about recently (not at all worthy of your spam lol).
In general I decided there are two types. One type of coordination focuses multiple pieces on the same square or small set of squares.
The other type the the opposite! It's when pieces control different squares and so work together to influence an area. An example would be opposite color bishops, never hitting the same square, but complimenting each other.
So then coordination becomes maneuvers which achieve this efficiently. A low number of moves, with maximum mobility for example. Known patterns helps players do this, but also simple calculation to discover which move order or square is best.
I`ve heard that coordination is a good thing to have in a position, what is coordination and how to get it? Thanks !
