I started getting into (obsessing) over MBTI or Myers Briggs Personality Test. I found it to be quite amazing to understand. Then with my great passion for chess, I started thinking maybe there are factors in personality that affect positively/negatively the way people think in chess. I feel people's potentials are limited because of their personality, due to some tendencies they may or may not have. I won't put IQ into the discussion because we know that's an obvious factor. I just want to know if anyone can disagree with my claim and back it up in some way.
Is MBTI - or specifically personalities a significant factor contributing to chess potential apart from the other factors?
Thanks.
