Crab opening

Is the crab opening good? I think it seems good because it allows you to bring out your rooks early and allows you to have a strong outside pawn.

🦀 opening will snap you. Bringing out your rooks early means no castling, not to mention that all 8 pawns will be on the board for AT LEAST the first 5-10 moves (Exceptions being gambits and Scandinavian) Also the rook can be attacked by minor pieces when brought out too early.

If you use the crab opening you are trash and might as well never touch a real chess piece or a digital one ever again, just end it all.

No, but at least you will have fun playing it, which is what really matters. If you can get the kingside edge pawn down the board, it can pose a lot of problems for your opponent. It can act as a hook that opens up the enemy king for a big attack. Many people, especially at lower levels, don't know how to handle a pawn attack against their king early on in the game.

Positionally it is a terrible opening, but psychologically it is an excellent opening. Be sure to type GGEZ in the chat if you happen to win with it.
