I finally crossed 1200 in rapid, I know that’s not a lot and I’m still a beginner, but it sure does feel good to get to this point! Just super excited and wanted to share with the community here as you guys understand.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement, I try telling this to my family, and they don't understand how big a deal it is (at least for me).. 
Hope I don't drop back down, key is slow play, when I am rested and keep thinking CCA.

You may tell them about percentage (e.g. “I am better than x% at the biggest chess site”). It will be easier to understand.

That's true, chess.com says I'm higher than 92.8% of the players, but then everyone who responded on this chess is higher than me, so that number probably is counting a lot of inactive players or something.
