Crosstable

Suppose there is a team tournament with 6 players on each team.  Each player on each team plays all six members of the opposing team 2 games, one as Black, one as White. for a total of 72 games.

How would you go about making such a crosstable?

Like a grid. Names from one team across the top, the other team down the left. Then you can enter the results in the appropriate box for each player against the members of the other team.

You can probably find a premade form if you Google Scheveningen tournaments, the type to which you are referring.

Thanks... I shall!

Oh.. here's an issue I had with this approach that confused me:
Team 1 going down, Team 2 going across.

When I read the results for A vs a - how do I know  who won?  Is it always from A's perspective?

             a               b               c               d              e              f

A     1-0 /0-1     ½  1-0

B

C

D

E

that Table System is interesting stuff ! Its a horrible thing , curiosity , gets you into all kinds of awful situations - like Queen Trades or Pawn Races. Thanks Guys grin.png
