I have played with several 2200+ players in Vote Chess and a couple of 2500+ rated players. I heard some things but that really takes the cake. If i did not ever met an IM which i have met several and very good and friendly. All have nothing to say but positive things until now!

With that in mind how does people say that Daeth opening is not good? If you do your research that has been said about many openings in the past. Then a few laters a GM used it in Championship and won and now everybody act like it just came out and it is the greatest show on Earth.

He showed what it can do. So far he is past check point 1. Can several other people use it and get similar results. If so then all those that said it is a bad opening is saying much at all. If not we move on.

Another thing to consider. A couple people will try this just to be funny. They will win a couple of game and start to take it more serious. And this is a copy cat site. Players here do not like to take a whuppin. More will try to use it. It will be like a Domono game.

Found the reference on how to become an IM

Normally three norms in international tournaments involving other IMs and Grandmasters are required before FIDE will confer the title on a player. IMs usually have an Elo rating between 2400 and 2500. Sometimes, though, there may be a very strong IM who has not yet become a Grandmaster but has a rating greater than 2500.

The IM title can also be awarded for a few specific performances. For example, under current rules, the runner up at the World Junio Championship will be awarded the IM title if he or she does not already have it. Current regulations may be found in the FIDE handbook.

I think Daeth is already past an IM title.

doctor_seuss

I actually know an IM who has a rating of about 2250. weird huh?

The beast thing about this rivilitonerry turnament is that there can be no winner or losere, there is oanly the ceiseless intrplay of chess buaety.  The new age of chess has like fienolly arrived.  Daeth will finilly surrender his ego to to the forces of chess imperfection.

Which can run faster the Queen or Rook?

Ok we have one player that has accepted waiting for the other.

Can we get some games before the Big Game? Where is management?

gogiantsrap

Did anybody realize that you are all attacking Daeth for his spelling and grammar, but "millennia" is spelled wrong in the forum name, and it should be "Match of the Millennium"?

Millenia is a plural of millenium so it's not a mistake.

So would you say "Match of the Centuries" or "Match of the Century?"

What does it have to do with what I gogianstrap and I said?

pizzaking

Because it is a mistake and unless the OP was talking about multiple millennia, (which is not the way such a phrase is often used) it should read millennium.  gogiantsrap is 100% correct.
