White is threatening Rh8#. Black can play Rh4 to delay this, as well as checking the white king with Qf2 and Bf1, after the rook goes to h4. The sequence to postpone blacks defeat would continue something like this, 2)... Rh4 3) Rxh4 Bf1+ 4)Kxf1 Qf2+ 5) Kxf2 (any legal black move) 6) Rh8#
I do not understand why todays daily puzzle says it is solved when the opposing king is not checkmated. Can someone explain?
