Danish Gambit Best Response

Does anyone have any really good responses to the Danish Gambit? Declined or Accepted.

I've had some success with this line:

You basically give back the pawns to diffuse the power of white's bishops and trade down to an endgame with your queenside pawn majority against white's kingside majority.

But what if white tries avoiding an endgame?  9.Qd2,Bxd2+ 10.Nxd2,Re8 and further exchanges may or may not happen.  The queenless middlegame could go either way though.  

Well yeah, white doesn't have to trade down of course. It's just my general plan in that line.

At first the Danish Gambit was one of my favorite lines, but I prefer 3: Nf3 now, especially since many players at my level don't like to respond correctly, even playing moves like 2: Bd6.
