Day to Day Training

I spend most of my time playing chess and have developed a decent training schedule. It consists of tactical studies and live games. I have actually found that my game is getting so much better with the right training. Prior to my current course of study, I wasn't making anywhere near the progress I am now. I'm curious what everyone else does regarding training.

My ideal day is:

15 minutes tactics training at chess.emrald.net. I believe it's hard for your brain to absorb much more than that in a day, so too much more is probably wasted effort. Try to move through each problem as quickly as possible.

Pick a master and an opening and go over a few games at chessgames.com. Again, trying to move pretty quickly through each one.

Finding a nice, slow game (at least 30 30, preferably 45 45) on ICC, and going over it and annotating it afterward.

I do those in order, and any day I don't have enough time, I just get as far down the list as I can. If I only have time for one thing, I do the tactics training. Two things, I do tactics then master games.

That is some good stuff!

I also start off by practicing tactics (around 30 min/day); for that I go on chess tempo. Then I try to play the few moves I have to play in my chess.com's turn-based games. I try to finish by playing a standard game on ICC preferably with the time setting mentioned above. If I have time afterwards, I try to watch a chess video or two; my favorite series is Dan Heisman's amateur game review.

Go over your own games.

I also use Personal Chess Trainer which is a good way to develop tactical thinking. There are 90 problems per set and they're decent problems that force you to look at the entire board.

thanks for the advice guys cause im only going to be spending 2hrs per day on chess no matter if its playing studying r learning but didnt have a idea of howto breakdown that time. what do you guys think of this breakdown:

30 tatics/strategy since I feel this is the most important.

30 minutes playing both live & turn based

30 going over games I've won & lost then end it with a video lesson. Then once I get membership i'll start working more with chess mentor and my coach dropping my time a play down and tatics/strategy down to 15min since i'll be working with a coach. just a plan i've worked out and ASKING your OPINION on this schedule.
