Another note: If you're playing as white, your opponent must play as black, or vice versa.
Oh.

Oh.
I presume he meant team mate :)
Ha ha. Yeah, sorry about that. That is precisely what I meant. If you're playing as white, then your team mate must play as black or vice versa. Thanks for pointing that out! :)
Not too different from Bughouse. Bughouse gets played A LOT at big tournaments:

Wow, I never knew that. That's really interesting.
i once went to a website that the owner of it finds a lot (more than 100?) of chess variants. its called chess variant applets?
In Denmark its very popular and is called Baby Chess (dont ask me why, its just always have been called that).
But in our variation, you can set in the piece you got from your teammate, anywhere you want (but a pawn cant stand on 1 rank). If a pawn gets to 8 rank, it will just die. You cant set in with checkmate.

Kiwi chess has no place on this site.

Tyler, you really need to get over everything and just move on. Seriously. Everyone on here is too mature to even care about what you say. If any moderators on here can read this message, I suggest you close tylerkhandixon's account, otherwise he will do nothing but spam this website.
Anyway, SimonSeirup, I quite like your variation of this game. Thanks for mentioning :).
Yeah, sounds like a variation of bughouse, but in bughouse you can place the pieces your teammate captures anywhere on your board. We played it a few weekends ago, but my 8-year-old teammate was a weak player so I didn't get many pieces from him.
This is a really fun version of chess that I enjoy playing with my friends. I hope you enjoy it too!
It's called Dead Man's Chess and here are the rules:
This is a game for four players (players split into teams of two).
You need two boards for this. On one board is a player and his/her opponent. On the other board is the player's partner and his/her's opponent's partner. Now the game begins.
Normal rules apply. However, there is one slight adjustment.
Say you've captured a piece. You then must hand over that piece to your partner, who places it on the board that he/she is playing on. The piece must go in the place where it usually begins at the start of the game.
Note: You can only place a piece received by your partner if the place where the piece begins is clear. For example, if your partner hands over a knight, but there are already knights in both squares since the start of the game, then you must wait until one of those squares are empty before you may place your piece there. Pieces must only go in squares where they originate.
Another note: If you're playing as white, your opponent must play as black, or vice versa.
