How much money would you turn down to be the best chess player in the world?
this will help you all:
for the record, i linked to the treasury's cost-benefit analysis guide here.
the link was, unfortunately, censored
Here’s the thing. If you don’t lose ever even without putting the work in, what’s the point? Imagine playing a game where you win 100% of the time. Might be fun to start but eventually that’s boring.
Sonion do you know how much I'd brag to all my friends who'd ever had an interaction with me? All the kids I could flex on in Minecraft bedwars with my chess champion title? God, just the thought makes me giddy. I need to log off.
Does being the best chess player mean you automatically win every game? Cause Magnus still loses ever now and then. If I could beat Stockfish for example, the publicity from it would be insane. But ChessClearBelt is right, winning every game effortlessly would defeat the point. Chess it a struggle, that's why its so fun to win.
No. You will just have the knowledge of the best chess player in the world and you are the world champion. You will be stronger player than Magnus, but you still make all the decisions at the board that could very well cause you to lose.
i’d take the 500 million but as long as nobody knows I have it
Yeah you'd have people you haven't spoke to in years wanting to be your best friend all of a sudden if people knew you had it. I actually know a guy that bought a bunch of Tesla stock when it was dirt cheap and dudes a multi millionaire now. He's in his 50's and once word got out he had people that he hadn't spoke to in decades randomly hitting him up all hey buddy how you been we should hangout sometime. Pathetic 😂
