I just come into possession of a substantial body of literature, among them Dvoretsky's 'Secrets of Chess Training'. I had heard of it but never read it, I was missing out! Along with the above quote here are some from the first chapter.
"but in technique and endgame he is frankly weak"
"the education of the leader of the Scottish team was at a kindergarten level"
"he had no concept of the endgame"
"my opponent appears to have forgotten pawns do not move backwards"
"I finally understood the idea (albeit crazy) of my opponent"
"he had not sacrificed the pawn, but simply blundered it"
He is a lot funnier than I expected.
