DGT Board with Chessbase

Hi all,

I have recently bought a DGT board as I was told I could analyse with it.

The problem I have is that I cannot enter variations and then go back in the line to the mainline in either Chessbase or Fritz/Houdini.

That makes it almost useless for entering moves from an opening book or studying a games collection and inputing analysis/moves.

Does anyone know how to analyse with Houdini/Chessbase using a DGT board, or suggest an alternative program that does do this?

While not directly related, I am trying to warn people about the DGT board overall and find out what other people's experiences or solutions are like to remedy a bad experience we are having with the DGT boards via the Internet so far. My friend and I have USB based DGT boards and are very frustrated with them when trying to play over the Internet as the related software is so unstable and crashes in the middle of most games.
