I often look at his games. He obviously does alot of sacrifices, but he never seemed to do any gambits. I wonder why?

It's not the opening that gets you an advantage, it's the middlegame. The opening is just a vehicle to get you into a comfortable middlegame. Then the fireworks can begin.

Yes he did Tal played the Kings Gambit now and then (both sides)

In this game he drew David Bronstien with Black with the Falkbeer Gambit.....
