The Russian language itself is descendant of Sanskrit (India). The Russian language is closer to Sanskrit than any other language.

This is interesting, as I have never heard of "Russian Chess"

That is because there is no such thing.

The Chinese claim that Chinese Chess came from China.

@macer75

There is already a joke.

And the Klingons claim that Shakespeare came from Kronos.

European version, called chess, we really only know the gender of the King and Queen, and in chaturanga we can infer even less.

That is because you are not good at inferring.

America. President and Vice President. Guys.

Chaturanga. King and Vizier. The title Vizier still exists in oral history until today! That is the title of the villain in the Disney movie Aladdin. Jafar was a Vizier.

Chess is toy soldiers. All guys. G.I. Joes. not Barbie.

In a way they are correct.

Chaturanga is extinct.

Chinese Chess is closer to Chaturanga than Western Chess. Chinese Chess preserves most of the genes of Chaturanga.

Buddhism in China is preserving Hinduism more than India.

But by that criteria, Japan preserved Go more than China.

The successor gets the credit.

By that logic, Russia preserves Sanskrit and Chess more than anybody!

The South Korean flag. South Korea took it from China.

The ultimate expression of that saying.

No, I didn't. And judging by the photo it's not so interesting as regular chess though it deserves to exist

It's even more interresting.

Not only are there more peaces on the board. The board is bigger. A taken peaces can be place back on the board as a move. Most peaces are slower that chess. making it that a game with over 80 move is not an exception.

"recreared" in 1990s.

It's non-sense. It has no unique genetics like Chaturanga, Western Chess, Chinese Chess, Shogi, Thai Chess, Burmese Chess, etc . . .

It has no lineage.

The modern Olympic has genetics from the Ancient Olympics.

MMA, UFC has genetics from Pankration.

Bodybuilding came from Greek statues.

"Russian Chess" is when you set up a corridor of 'Barrier Troops" behind your own front line, with orders to shoot any Pawns that try to retreat.

The rules of Chinese Chess are lost in time.

Most of its genes are from Chaturanga.

The 16 pieces gene is from Chaturanga.

Pawn advancement has a history, directly proportional from the borders of India is to China.

Funny.

But pawns already cannot retreat.

Field hockey came first.

You put on ice skates. Ice hockey.

You put on roller skates . . .

You put on roller blades . . .

Basketball on roller skates do not have lineage before basketball.

Tennis on roller skates.

One look at volleyball and you can tell it is half basketball and half tennis.

On a more serious note.

Why are we making fun of each other?

We are all brothers.

But everything came from India, Ok?
