Did you play this bad in your first(s) tournament(s)?

I'm currently playing in my second tournament. The first was last month and I finished with the decent first-tournament score of 3/9 (it actually was 4/9 but I won one round because my opponent didn't show up) - 2 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses. I played much worse than my current potential. In almost every game I blundered heavily and inexplicably. I even lost games where I had a winning advantage because I blundered pawns or exchanges in a very sily manner for my level. Well, that was the first tournament and I didn't expect much. But now, on my second tournament, I've played even worse. I started with 3 straight losses (again, in all games I had a winning advantage but I blundered heavily and lost), then won two against fairly low rated opponents, so nothing to be proud of. Then I lost round 6 against a CM after I reached a dead draw position because I didn't find the drawing method in time trouble. Today I lost again. I felt tired and that might have been the cause. I have two more rounds to go but I can already say that I've had an awful tournament.

Do I have bad luck or everybody else had this crappy results when they started competing in tournaments? I am not a total patzer. I've played chess for some time and I play decently, considering I started taking it serious only one year ago. My problem is it seems I play way below my level OTB, comparing to internet. And I don't mean to compare the internet vs OTB ratings. I've outplayed 1700+ opponents in OTB but then lost in a sillish manner. With this bad results, I have already started to feel OTB is not for me and I have a hard time playing my best face to face. Or is it just lack of experience?

Probably the nerves? don't worry it's like that the 1st couple of tournaments, just don't feel bad about it and try to play harder :)

It seems to be a good explanation. I also have school everyday before each round and maybe tiredness is a factor. I leave home at 12 PM and and come back at 9 PM. Few days like that in a row is really tiring for me. 3 hours of sport would not make me as tired as playing 3 hours of chess. It's very exhausting sometimes.
