Out of Control

Unfortunately I am making this post. About 1 in 5 players on this app is cheating or at minimum hyper suspect. I range from 700-800 elo but have no issues defeating 1000-1600 elo computers and over the board players. I can’t get out of 700-800 because of blatant cheating and this app refuses to do anything about it. I report probably 10 players a day and maybe 1 will be punished every 3 months. I play around 50 games a day. That’s 10 cheats a day minimum. What do you even do? I am seriously about to rage delete the app because it’s not even fun anymore.

To be fair, bots are very overinflated when it comes to ratings (I beat the 2200 bots and sometimes even higher rated). Some players are just better than their rating and you’re just in the way of their elo grind. This forum will be shut down but just know that you can still have faith in Chess.com. Give it another chance! And if you are still unhappy, you can always leave like you said before.

A youtuber called Jack Sarkisian made a video some months ago and the statistics were more to the tune of every 1 out of 3 players.

The perception of cheating levels is orders of magnitude more than the actual amount. The vast majority of games and players are clean.
