Difference between 1400 elo player and a 2000 rated player

I think a 2k elo player can recognize patterns like pen structures more easily. I feel like they can capitalize on opportunities and block threats better, too. A 1400 elo player might focus more on immediate gains instead of building posts and relative pins. 2k elo players usually have better opening knowledge, and can get a good starting position right from the start. However, there isn’t much of a difference in the end game, when both player types would make similar moves.
What makes a 2000 elo player different from a 1400 elo player? What is the difference between both of their thinking process?
